ERIC PETERSON, founder of Teammember Sports and creator of the TMB and TML Sports Shields is a firefighter, coach and father who is committed to reducing injuries in youth sports. The idea for this product came after witnessing a little league game where two nine-year-old batters were both hit in the back of the neck by pitches.
Realizing there was similar injury potential in lacrosse, it made sense to develop an attachment for helmets that would cover the vulnerable and unprotected areas of the back of the head and neck.
